1. INTRODUCTION
The Tagore International Award 2026 (hereinafter referred to as "the Award") is a prestigious global recognition established to honour exceptional individuals and organizations that have demonstrated profound excellence, creativity, and innovation in the fields of Art, Literature, Social Service and Other Achievements. Inspired by the legacy of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, the Award seeks to celebrate works that bridge cultural divides, promote humanism, and drive positive social change.
By participating in this Award, all applicants (hereinafter referred to as "Participants") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
2.1. Geographical Scope: The Award is open to Participants from all nationalities and geographical locations.
2.2. Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of submission. Participants under the age of 18 may submit entries via a legal guardian or parent, who must consent to these Terms.
2.3. Categories: Participants may submit entries in one or more of the following streams:
Visual & Performing Arts: Painting, sculpture, music, dance, theatre,cinema and digital media.
Literature: Poetry, fiction, non-fiction, essays, and playwriting.
Social Excellence: Community service, sustainable development, education, rural upliftment, and peacebuilding.
2.4. Exclusions: Current employees, board members, or immediate family members of the Organizing Committee or the Jury are ineligible to apply.
3. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
3.1. Language: All submissions and supporting documentation must be in English. If the original work (e.g., a book or poem) is in another language, an English translation must be provided.
3.2. Format: Submissions must be made electronically via the official award portal. Physical submissions will not be accepted unless specifically requested by the Jury.
3.3. Originality: All work submitted must be the original creation of the Participant. Plagiarized, AI-generated (unless explicitly part of the artistic medium), will be disqualified.
3.4. Deadline: The closing date for submissions is [Insert Date]. The Organizers reserve the right to extend the deadline at their sole discretion.
4. ENTRY FEES
4.1. There is a nominal non-refundable entry fee of ₹ 200 required to process the application. Details regarding the fee amount and payment methods are listed on the official website.
4.2. Payment of the entry fee does not guarantee a win or a nomination.
5. JUDGING AND SELECTION PROCESS
5.1. Jury Panel: A panel of independent experts, reputed artists, authors, and social leaders will judge the entries.
5.2. Criteria: Judging will be based on:
Creativity & Originality: Innovation in thought and execution.
Impact: Relevance and contribution to society or the arts.
Alignment: Adherence to the humanitarian and universal values espoused by Rabindranath Tagore.
5.3. Decisions: The decision of the Jury Panel is final, binding, and not subject to appeal. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the judging process.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
6.1. Ownership: The Participant retains full copyright and ownership of their submitted work.
6.2. Usage License: By submitting an entry, the Participant grants the Tagore International Award organizers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute the submitted material for promotional purposes, including (but not limited to) social media, press releases, and award ceremonies.
6.3. Attribution: Any use of the Participant's work by the organizers will include appropriate attribution to the creator.
7. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
7.1. Personal data (name, contact details, biography) provided during registration will be processed securely.
7.2. Data will be used solely for the administration of the Award and related publicity. By applying, Participants consent to the collection and processing of their data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
8. PRIZES AND RECOGNITION
8.1. Awards: Winner will receive Cash Prize 10000, a certificate, award declaration letter, a memento and will be featured in our official website. Short Listed applicants will get a certificate with Memento and Long Listed applicants will get a certificate.
8.2. Ceremony: Winner may be invited to a physical or virtual award ceremony. Travel and accommodation arrangements (if any) will be communicated to the winners directly.
8.3. Taxes: Winners are responsible for any tax liabilities that may arise from the prize winnings in their country of residence.
9. CODE OF CONDUCT AND DISQUALIFICATION
9.1. Behaviour: Participants agree to conduct themselves with professionalism and integrity.
9.2. Misconduct: The Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any Participant who provides false information, attempts to bribe or influence or contact the Jury, or engages in conduct that brings disrepute to the Award or trying to get involved with selection process.
9.3. Plagiarism: If any submission is found to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of a third party, the Participant will be immediately disqualified and may face legal action.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
10.1. The Organizers shall not be liable for any lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete submissions.
10.2. The Organizers are not responsible for any technical failures, internet connectivity issues, or force majeure events that prevent the submission process.
10.3. Participation in the Award is at the Participant's own risk.
11. AMENDMENTS
11.1. The Organizers reserve the right to amend, modify, or cancel the Award or these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on the official website.
12. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
12.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India/Karnataka State.
12.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka State
13. ACCEPTANCE
13.1. Submission of an entry constitutes the Participant’s unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
