The Degrading World

I wonder how the world was,

            Before I was born.

Was it made in a day or it took hours?

Thinking of these took my sleep away,

And all I did was just yawn!

I do hope the world was a better place,

Not like the world I live today!

All have thrown away their goodness

         Seeing the negative in them,

Believe me, I have nothing else to say!

The world is filled with so many people

And yet you can trust none!

The only thing which makes them cripple.

          Busy with nothing, doing everything

Slowly forgetting, how it feels to have fun!

Why has the world become so bitter?

       Why can’t they stand together?

Why is it so hard to trust each other?

Was this world always like this?

Was this always a place deprived of bliss!

Musical Love

I loved how his fingers moved with grace,

I lost my sense of time and of space.

The music he played made me sure,

He’s majestic like his piano, so very pure.

His voice sounds so euphonious

Its pleasant to my ears, it sounds melodious.

His fingers fluttered like a butterfly,

The gentle glides have the power to mystify

As the rhythm he creates with each key

Makes my heart race with delightful glee.

The silent longing within me for his cadence

Has become my heart’s sweet symphony of dance.
